An astonishing, hair-raising journey back to central Cape Town in a taxi and not a cab - The difference ? 70 ZAR for the cab to get to Sea Point.... 6 ZAR to get back to town in the taxi.

Cape Town. V&A Waterfront, South Africa

I don't really like the V&A Waterfront (it's just a huge Disneyfied shopping precinct) but it does make a good place for the inevitable "Table Mountain in the background" photos.

Barry Homewood You all seem to be having a great time in the bush. Is that a stuffed giraffe in the photos? Auntie Beryl's funeral is at 2.30pm on Friday 13th April at Colwyn Bay Crem, followed by 4pm at Holywell Golf Club. Bizarrely, after 20C temperatures last week, we had snow on Tuesday/Wednesday and they had to shut the M62 because of it. Anyway, I have to go and finish off all my work as I am off to the Lakes this afternoon. Take care and bye for now!

Barry Homewood Hi guys - trying to get hold of you by whatever means possible. Auntie B died around 5.30 on Sunday afternoon. I went to see her that day and left around 2.30pm. She didn't wake up at all but she looked very peaceful. Talk to you soon.

Gillian Looks stunning. Rob is already feeling sick just looking at the photos of the bridge! Hope Wendy got a nice cup of tea at the bottom after her trip. Seen any good birds?

Barry Homewood Had a look at your photos of Vic falls during lunch - an awesome sight it has to be said. You seem to be cramming a lot in during your stay. It's been sunny and 20C here the last 2 days, and apparantly it's set to continue. Take care all of you and keep up the good work Jonathan! Back to work for some!
