Sadly...ha...today we are spending time on our terrace looking at our beautiful view. The tastes of yesterday's experience with Mamma Agata still lingering in our mouths. There is a beautiful breeze so we do some laundry and hang it to dry on the terrace. The hardest thing we may do today is to decide on just where to eat this evening! A great thunder and lightening storm during the night...of course it would rain the one day we would like it bright and sunny. John was going to come for the lunch part of the day and spend the hours before sketching, but the rain changed his mind. So off Anne and I went on the 7:35 (not crowded) bus. Day 9....we stop counting days today! We are spending the day in Praiano...a nice rest after yesterday's day in Capri. Start the day with 9:00 Mass at San Gennaro. Our coffee spot...Bar del Sole...is busy this morning. John and I opt to sit and have cappuccino and cornetto and Anne's walks! Day 8...and we're off to Capri! The bus to Positano, where we get the boat, leaves at 8:30...Italian time. We board the boat in Positano (after stopping for a cappuccino and cornetto) at 10:15 and the boat ride from Positano to Capri takes about 25 minutes. The marina grande where we dock is a bustle of people so we scurry to get tickets for the funicular to take us up to Capri Town. There too it's very crowded but the view is so lovely you don't really notice...

Day 7...really...well we've decided to stay "close to home" today and rest up for our trip tomorrow to Capri (pronounced KAH-pree by Italians)...a must-see world class tourist trap. I imagine we'll encounter crowds if Amalfi was any indication. Anne goes out for a walk and I go down to the fish vendor just below us and buy some vongole for dinner.
