Adventures of Bowen & Smith
Hi everyone, I haven't written for a while just been having way to much fun in Spain. There is so much to see and do here. Parties every night, festivals, dancers, buskers and heaps of random s*** along the street. It is so entertaining here, I have fully fallen in love with Spain, especially Barcelona - the night life is unreal and they all love aussies so i felt like a celebrity everytime I was in a club, didnt have to pay for many drinks at all, lots of people shout you drinks and the bartenders arent shy when giving out free drinks. Jess was still sick in Barcelona so I went out by myself alot (I know your all thinking that I'm a freakin loser) but it's so easy to meet people when your out, it was really fun. My spanish is getting better already which is good cos not to many people here speak english. After Barcelona went to Valencia which wasn't such a party place but it was very beautiful, mum you would have loved it there were heaps of gardens and flowers and water features and s*** like that, it was really nice. We went to the Aquarium there which was amazing - the best i have ever seen. We saw a dolphin show where they had trained the dolphins to do just about everything, you would really have to see it to beleive it. After that we went to the imax and saw a documentary on the forces of nature which was great but really relaxing and we both kept on nodding off. We finished the day by going to the science museum which was ok but not as cool as I thought it would be, we did see some freaky s*** though like 2 headed dogs and a pig with 2 bodies that had been preserved which was pretty cool. That was our last day in Valencia and we had to catch an overnight bus to Granada which arrived at about 7:30 am, we finally made it to our hostel after hardly any sleep in need of a shower, a toothbrush (especially Jess - she had death breath from hell - ha ha ha only joking) and a bed instead we were greeted by this absolute s*** head who was about eleventeen thousand years old and couldn't speak a word of english so he was yelling at us in Spanish about something, we had no idea what the F*%k was going on so we were just kind of laughing and finally figured out that checkout wasn't until 12pm so we had to try and occupy ourselves for another 4 hours which was a bit of a struggle as we were so tired from our trip. So any way we made it back to our hostel and all was fine, we went out last night here but the clubs are nothing special. Leaving Granada tonight to go to Lagos in Portugal so its another all night bus ride, think I will just pop a couple of sleeping tablets this time. My birthday is coming up soon so I want heaps of birthday messages ok. Mum I know you wont be able to give me a present, a hug would be my first wish but I will settle for money if I have to, a few thousand dollars (and thats Euro dallars not Australian) would be ok I guess.
Until next time, be good kids and I will update the website soon with some Pictures.
