Team Global
Hello one and all from bigdayout, New Zealand's one and only music festival.
Bands to grace the Southern Hemisphere for this momentous occasion were: The Magic Numbers (as always beautiful folk music on a sunny afternoon from this cheery foursome which never fail to disappoint), Franz Ferdinand (great marching up & down the stage), and The White Stripes (that man can wear a hat). Also lots of crap Kiwi bands.
Things we noticed that differ from your normal UK festival were:
1. It only lasts a day, no camping here.
2. It's in a stadium so you get great views and seating but alas no grass beneath your feet.
3. The crowd wear ear plugs throughout the day! W*nkers.
4. There are designated drinking areas, booze is not allowed anywhere near the stages. T*ssers.
5. A maximum of one JD & coke can be bought at the bar at any one time. C*cks.
Ah well, it did allow us to practice our stealth moves of smuggling the beer nearer the stages.
But that said a fun, action packed day was had by all.
Love Team Global, Alma & Amy
