Hello again all! free internet access at this hotel which is very useful! as you can see we are in cambodia at the moment and have just had the most fantastic day! we visited the temples at Angkow Wat whih were just breathtaking! amazing that they took 600 years to build all in all and the stones used were carried rom 60km away! everything was just so massive its hard to take it all in and imagine a king living there. after that we took a boat trip out to tonle sap lake and visited the floating village which again was just incredible. its so strange to see how people live...in houses built on stilts so that when the rice fields flood in the monsoons their houses dont get destroyed ut which leave them with no other way to get around than by simple boats and canoes. there were so many children swimming and playing in the river and they were so friendly and had such good english! then on the way back in the boat there was a massive electrical storm in the distance which really was a sight. massive lightning bolts were just streaking across the sky every 5 minutes and having never seen an actual lighning bolt in my life i found it mesmerising. anyway im sweating buckets and being bitten to death sat at this computer so i shall leave it there and update again when i can! love you all hope all is good lots of love jay and laura! xxx
