I hope that you have fun in Jaco, and I'm really excited to see your blog and photos from the beach. It is the beauty of the ocean and the climate that attracks people to this area. The University of Costa Rica is also very good, do you have any plans to visit there? It is so nice that Rosa has taken you in as her "mamita," and I'm sure that she is very proud to be able to cook for you. How does Valeria like Carlos? Thanks for posting that picture that you took of True Value in San Pedro. Every town needs a True Value! I went to see the Blackhawks play against the Rangers last night with Laura and John Kalinowski at the United Center. It was very cold outside, -12 below, so we are jealous of your warm temperature! It is so nicre to hear from you again, and I'm very jealous about the great coffee. I'll have to look to see if I can order some online, but it won't be as fresh as what you get. I made a deposit for you at Wells Fargo today. Your host family was very nice to welcome you so kindly. You are a terrific person and I'm sure that they enjoy your company too. As you get out more, I'm sure that you will discover even more of the beauty in Costa Rica. Hey, I heard that there is lots of wildlife, even monkeys. And you can't beat the weather.

Hi Jayme , I really liked the pictures you posted. Carlos is such a ham kitty. CUTE!!!! We got the AMC card yesterday. Thanks to all of you kids. We'll let you know which movie we see. Hope you're enjoying the weather. We got 10 inches of snow saturday, and it's snowing again now. Supposed to get very frigid and windy which will make blizzard conditions. Dad took earlier flight today to beat the weather. He's in Texas eating ribs. I'm jealous, I love ribs. Take Care. love You

There was a 6.1 Magnitude earthquake in Costa Rica on Jan 8th.
It was (20 miles) NNW of SAN JOSE, Costa Rica. Is there any signs of this in your area?
It was nice to hear that you and Carlos had an "uneventful" trip and made it to your destination safely.
