So camp has finished!! We left Winsted at 7, Jen with tears in her eyes, me manly and just a little sad. For our final day in NYC we wanted to do the bits that we had missed and as we had a time slot to see the 9/11 memorial at 1030 we set off early to see it. I had seen pictures if it and so wasn't really that interested, but to be honest when we eventually got in there passed the tons of security it WAS quite good, the memorial part of it was touching and it must be very supportive to the families of those who were lost. Yesterday (9th) was spent visiting the high-line and Chelsea market, the high-line is a disused railway line above the city that has been turned into a walkway. After we got out of the subway we started having a look at where we were wanting to go, the this bloke pops up outta nowhere saying " are you lost? I'm a new York local and I will help you find your way"!! We thought yeah right scam, but he wasn't he led us all the way to Chelsea market and then just walk...

Got up well early this morning coz the whole jet lag thing think we were up and out by 8.15!! Then we walked for miles to get our bearings. Finally did the tourist thing and caught the Staten island ferry to see the big green lady. Never seen such a pointless ferry port everyone piles off n piles straight back on again to get back to manhattan... Dropped parents off at heathrow and checked bags in, jays was 2kg over but good ol 'Irene' ( the desk dolly) let it go.
