Still in BA...just hanging out really, met a few random people (mainly ozzies and colombians!) in the hostel. I came to BA before, so Ive already seen all the main sites, so just been revisiting it, taking it slower, soaking it in etc... blah, blah, blah nothing amazingly exciting, just a chill out or break. But, an awesome one. BA is an amazing city. Has the look and feel of Paris, with the life and soul of London (theres constant lights, noise, people, traffic etc...), with a definate Latino flare (the history, tango etc...) Was going to see Coldplay on Fri (theyŕe playing here) but will give it a miss. Tickets were $460ARG, which is about 60 quid or so, but the seats are crap (yeh, seats) and it doesnt include transfer there and back (add about another $120ARG, or 16 quid for that). SO, Iḿ rumbo to Uruguay finally on Friday. BA is an azming city, once the clouds and floods cleared. When I got here the city had faced very, very heavy weather, and there had been loads of powercuts. With the powercuts, came the protests too. Pots and pans and all sorts.
Also, as in the press in the UK, the Falklands/Malvinas are hitting the headlines here. The Argentine government has condemned Britain and gained it's support from other Latin American leaders. THis will not lead to another military conflict, as the Sun and the other tabloids at home seem to be scaremongering. And, rest assured, I've experienced no problems, or ill feeling or anytthing. BA hasnt changed at all, itś still the same amazing city. Also, still the large amount of improvserished people begging etc... which is tragic and upsetting.
But all good, off to spend a week exploring Uruguayś cities, and beaches (itś known as the South of France of South America), and then off to the jungly north east,
I have just 6 weeks left!!!!!!!!!!!!
