We arrived at Gerlinde & Wolfgang's and there was a surprise waiting for Dad and Mom. Their friend Ivo and his parents had come from Switzerland to visit. Ivo is a brother who had stayed with Dad and Mom a few years back when he and his sister visited Canada.
After visiting with them, we made supper and then Gerry and Wolf surprised us again by taking us to Trier to a carnival at the Messepark. We had gone to the same carnival with them 9 years ago, on our first visit to Germany.
We wandered the fair grounds watching the people and the bright lights, listening to the various pumping music and Jardin even won me a couple prizes! The 4 of us then took a ride on the giant Ferris wheel! It was so funny as Mom was nervous and we were all laughing and everyone got some great video and pics! As we left the Messepark, we watched the fireworks display and then we came back to Wasserliesch for some Sekt and gift giving. It was a fun night!
