Right guys, well first blog entry;

Got into Sydney airport about 07.15 on Friday 29th. Flights weren't that bad at all, the first leg from London-Hong Kong I had four seats to myself and was able to have a proper nights sleep. But the second leg Hong Kong - Sydney wasn't the same - I had to sit next to a snoring Polish lady who smelt of nappies lol

Spent most of Friday finding parts for the car me and matty have bought - a turquoise green 1994 Ford Falcon 4L. Its a beast to say the least, but quite funny looking with its 19" alloys and spoiler. Its an automatic, but I'm getting used to it.

Matty, myself and a few mates went to the RSL nightclub/restaurant thing in Kellyville on Friday night which was good, drinks are quite cheap if you have a members card. By the end of the night though my jetlag had caught up with me and I was pretty much dead to the world.

Saturday we went to the 'Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras' on Oxford Street in central Sydney. Nothing like I have ever seen before, it was actually quite funny. We decided that Matty should have a picture next to a bloke in drag; the one we chose however turned out to be a very ugly women on reviewing the photos lol. (Photos to follow at the end of the week by the way)

We have plotted our trip up to Brisbane now, and will be setting off on the 15th March in our turquoise beast lol. I'm visiting the Blue Mountains next weekend which shall be good.

Currently in my first hostel on Pitt Street in Haymarket, Sydney - 'Wake Up' - its actually really nice, modern and cheap at $28 a night. Already met quite a few nice people, and just about to go and see Sydney Opera House.
