On November 8th, 2012 my son Jason and I will be traveling to Pune, India and will be at the CCSVI Clinic at the Nobel Hospital for approximately 15 days. Jason will undergo a Stem Cell transplantation of approximately 50,000 cells that originate from his own bone marrow and then grown in vitro. Doug Broeska is a Canadian Researcher studying autologous stem cells (this means that the stem cells are taken from the patient's own body and multiplied in vitro). Studies indeed exist to demonstrate efficacy for the transplantation of human (autologous) stem cells for neuropathic pain. The successes are fairly new but the science behind the process has been studied for some time.
This is definately a leap of faith that we as a family are going to take because the possible results would be a miracle. Jason has suffered from Chronic neuropathic pain since February 11, 2007. His struggle has not been easy and his bravery through this journey is amazing. He easily overcame the disability of the paralysis to his right arm, that wasn't a problem. But the pain has worn him down. There is a good chance that this procedure will modulate Jason's pain. We as a family will do what ever it takes to make that possibility a reality. So keep posted through our journey and I will endeavor to give you daily updates so you can watch our experiences.
We have been assured that there is internet at the hospital and that Jason and I will be able to share a suite.
On Friday Jason and I will be applying for our India Visa's, Jason a Medical Visa and myself a Tourist Visa. We then go for an imunization consult at our Onoway Health Lab where they will determine what shots we need. I then need to transfer the money $28,000.00 via wire transfer to Clinicard (Doug Broeska is the CEO, Lisa Chapal is the Nurse Administrator the the CCSVI Clinic). It takes approximately two weeks to wire the monies. Ken and I are splitting the costs. This is the part that worries me the most as it is just enough money that the average family can put together and is willing to loose, I pray my fears are unfounded. I was suppose to get an invoice today but haven't received it so far.

Cynthya Hi, I'm thinking of having the stem cell therapy with CCSVI Clinic done as well so I was wondering if it worked for you son.
