A final run around the playground before we left Donnybrook. Tully got his wish this morning and had the whole place to himself. A brief stop at Gnomesville, a quirky spot before Bunbury where thousands of gnomes have been placed. We think it's tradition to bring one and leave it behind but we weren't that organised. On the road early again, we arrived at Busselton to walk the famous 1.8km jetty. This really was quite amazing only to be improved by the roulettes flying overhead. ANZAC day today, so there were many traffic diversions causing us no end of grief. Out of Pemberton and into Augusta. We had been given a tip that the pepper steak pie was good at the Augusta Bakery. So there we stopped for morning tea and we were not disappointed. The pie was so good we grabbed seconds to takeaway. Onto Margaret River and our stop for the night was the Big Valley Station. The day of trees.....Left Albany for Pemberton today. Stopped at the Valley of the Giants tree top walk. In between Denmark and Walpole, a 600m walkway that rises 40m above the forest floor. Amazing to be walking amongst the canopy of these enormous trees. Arrived in Albany yesterday and again were overwhelmed with people and cars! Decided to stay in Middleton Beach, just out of town but a great caravan park right on the beach. The weather has been perfect and the lure of a swimming pool was too much to refuse. Revived after a relaxing day, today we visited the National ANZAC centre and the surrounding Heritage Park.
