Sighisoara was similar to the other small town we visited in Romania (Sibiu) with beautiful old buildings in a fortified old town. The difference we found was that the city centre was not in the old town, where we were staying and where all the old buildings were situated. This meant that very little was happening around the old town besides other people looking at the old buildings which wasn't quite as nice as the other towns as it felt a bit more like a museum than a place where people go about their daily lives. On the plus side we were able to stay in one of the old buildings which was a worthwhile experience.
