Sadly we leave Denmark and head back to Albany for a couple of days. Dad and Fraser drove on to Bremer Bay for big adventures tomorrow leaving Mum and I to live it up for a peaceful day or so.

We spent the morning checking out the shops in Denmark and found the best coffee so far in WA - thanks Mrs Jones. The cakes were yummy too! Another sunny day so we spent the afternoon at Ocean Beach catching waves.

Today we travelled to Denmark about 50 km west of Albany. It's a nice town and we are staying about 8 km south at Ocean Beach. We enjoyed a boogie board in the surf after we set up but couldn't find Princess Mary. Perhaps she's away for the weekend?

An early start to drive about 90 km north to the Stirling Ranges and our biggest hiking challenge so far - getting to the top of Bluff Knoll which experiences snow each year and is 1,095 metres above sea level. We lost count of the number of steps but after a couple of hours made it to the top and enjoyed lunch. The walk was about 6 km return but involved a climb of over 500 metres. We enjoyed a swim in the pool when we returned to Albany.

Today we did another trip from Albany to a historic whaling station nearby called Whale World which is the former Cheynes Whaling station turned into a museum. We got our tickets and then waited for the tour to begin of the whaling station. First the lady gave us a audio to listen to about how they used catch the whales and use them.
