Another trip to Yelo before heading to Scarborough Beach for a boogie board. Again it was a rough (and rainy) day in the surf so we just had a paddle in the shallows and Dad and Fraser dug a large sandcastle near the high water mark. It survived high tide but we expect it will be gone tomorrow.

Today we went to AQWA (the WA Aquarium) which is the biggest in Australia.I loved looking at the jellyfish and turtles and Fraser liked the sting rays and sharks He was even brave enough to pat a Port Jackson shark. Fraser wished he was 12 as you could scuba dive for a very cheap price in one of the large tanks and it looked like it was a great thing to do.

The seaside suburb of Trigg was nearby so we went to check out the surf and a popular coffee spot called Yelo. Not much surf but the drinks and treats were very good. We also had a look at the surf at Scarborough Beach which was also poor before returning to the park pool for a swim.

A move to the northern suburbs of Perth and setting up at a caravan park with a nice lake opposite our site – the pleasant view gave way to the constant quacking and honking of water birds day and night. The nearby shopping centre was a hit with lots of stores over 2 levels.

It’s the 100th day since we left home in Ballarat. A morning trip into South Perth where we had lunch with John and Karen (friends of Mum and Dad who lived in Cann River 20 years ago).  We then travelled back to Fremantle but found many things like the markets closed which was disappointing.  Early showers and back into Fremantle to enjoy good old fish and chips on the wharf.  Fraser and I enjoyed a ride on a 40 metre ferris wheel near the wharf which provi...
