Our campsite at Point Louise is only 20 metres from the beach - we moved a few metres to a better site this morning and Fraser and I enjoyed a ride in the caravan. After lunch we kayaked around the bay and did some snorkelling while Dad went fishing. The camp shower was cool but it was good to enjoy a bush camp again.

Leaving Ledge Point we travelled north to the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. There were many pinnacles to see and even more flies. The visitor centre was good (no flies) and we walked around the desert landscape for about an hour. We then travelled north through Cervantes and Jurien Bay to a campsite at Point Louise just north of Green Head.

WA school holidays are over and all of a sudden we seem to be on our own. It's amazing to have an almost empty caravan park, but unfortunately local shops are also shut. After lunch we went to the beach for a paddle and some fishing with plenty of herring and some more whiting caught.

We travelled to near Gingin to visit the Gravity Discovery Centre and the Australian International Gravitational Observatory. The centre is a science education facility with lots of cool science things to do and learn about. We enjoyed dropping our water bombs off the 45 metre high leaning tower. On the way back to the caravan park we had a look at Yanchep and Two Rocks.

Yes it's fine and sunny with a light offshore breeze so after lunch we walked to the local beach to do some fishing. Small whiting were caught from the first cast but none were big enough to keep which was good, our freezer is quite small. By the time I headed for the pool we had six herring in the bucket and Dad was licking his lips. The good weather looks like continuing for at least another week.
