I awoke this morning feeling pretty glum over the girls departure. On top of that my stomach felt a little bit sick which added nicely to my discontent, curse you Murphy's law and the misery that accompanies you. After breakfast myself And lisbet headed up to the Chaing Mai mountains to get a look at the Temple up there. We were planning on getting a tuk-tuk the entire way up but were outraged when the driver priced the journey at 1200 B so instead got the tuk tuk to Chaing Mai university and a bus the rest of the way. This cut the price of the journey in half and we made a little discovery during our travels. The night market we found by accident two nights previously was actually located directly across form the university entrance. This is good to know because if any of us return to Chaing Mai I'm pretty sure we will be looking for that particular market and now we know where to go. Ok i got a bit side tracked there, the temple was fabulously decorated with such rich colours and intricate detail, there was also so much gold which i of course loved. the high location of the temple provided an amazing view of all of Chaing Mai, which is a hell of a lot bigger that I had imagined.
After the temple we met Andy and headed off to Phi. As the bus left Chaing Mai I could feel my spirits lifting. Although I adore the city, I really felt the girls absence there and I cannot help but miss them in a place where we spent so much time together.
Pai on the other hand will be a new place with new experiences and I really can't wait.
At the moment I am on the bus to Pai with Andy and lisbet. We are the only ones on the bus which is pretty sweet but the roads are so twisty they make the journey to Dingle feel like a walk in the park. I cannot wait to get there.
Bring on Pai I say,,, BRING IT ON!!!!!!
