Hey everyone!
So it's my last night in vegas, I survived! It was a bit of trouble getting here with poor Sabrina getting lost on the way to the greyhound and then re first bus was full. When I finally got the next bus we had to turn around after an hour and go back to LA because the air con had broken. It was a fun bus so wasn't too bad, but it mean we got in to vegas 3 hours later than we should have.
I'd literally just walked into the hostel when the girls in my room said we were all going out. That was the fastest I've ever got ready! I didn't need to rush though as we figured out that when Chandler the hostel guy says 10 minutes he really means an hour. Chandler took us down to the main strip in his van, which was a crazy experience in itself. It's just like one of those White work vans, so 20 of us squashed into the back sitting on the floor. We went to Mandalay bay first to this club at the top of the hotel. You can sit out on the balcony with re most amazig view of the las vegas strip. The Luxor was right below us, it was awesome! After the last place that we went to Chandler parked the van in the daftest place ever, so we came back to a clamped van! Poor guy had to pay 50dollars to get the clamp off!
We didn't get in until 6am, like true Vegas style:) I was exhausted so had a lazy day the next day. We all just hung around the hostel and made a costco trip to get some food.
The next night we went to the Fremont area. It's kind of a cheaper version of the strip here in downtown. Only in vegas would
there be a 60 years old man wearing a nappy dressed as Cupid, mental! Today I had a massive hike down the strip to do all the tourist-y stuff. I went to watch some circus acts in circus circus. I walked around the Venetian, which is really bizarre, like a miniature Venice! I got lost in Caesars palace, that place is seriously a maze with no exits! I walked around new York new York. I walked through the Bellagio, and just caught the end of the fountain display. Finally, I went to the MGM grand. I do not remember that place whatsoever, but I guess I was really young when I stayed there. I went to see the lions, they were so incredibly cute. They were fast asleep on the glass roof, so you could walk directly under them. They had 2 cubs in a separate room and there was a trainer in there laying down with them. You could pay for an interaction with them, of only ten minutes but I thought ooooo I could do that... $200 .. maybe not!
I ended the night with a show, I had to in vegas! I went to see a show called illusions by a guy called jan rouven. A guy in my hostel said he was highly rated and had sold some illusions to David Copperfield. He was really good, they were all like death defying illusions and it was impressive. The only problem with that is my 'I really want to be a volunteer' face was switched on again. Always get picked on! He strapped himself down and there were 5 swords hanging over them, if I tugged on one of the ropes the sword would drop. Four of the swords were positions so that they just miss him, whilst the fifth I'd would go straight through his heart. I had to pick them off one by one, listening to my 'inner voice' for which one was the one I shouldn't pull! Honestly never been so scared thinking I may kill a man! But I didn't:)
Anyway, going to get some sleep before my longest journey tomorrow - 36 hours eeeek!
Loves xXx
