Well, the adventure has begun! Last Saturday, we woke up to a frenzied day of packing, we were lucky enough to have a lot of good friends come round to our little flat in Lutwyche and try and help us sandwich our life of the last 2 years into boxes and start to transfer it into a storage shed. This has taken far, far, longer than we were expecting. In all, we had four days of packing and carting, including a stint with professional movers and a 20m truck! I had no idea what we had quite so much stuff in that flat! Such an exhausting process! We managed to throw out some stuff, and hopefully we will use some discretion when we take stuff to our new place! However, I (Jane) believe that more than one third of the things in the storage shed are directly celica related - so hopefully will shrink into a smaller space over time!
This week has also been my last week at work. It was a great place to be for the time I was there, but I'm very happy to be onto new adventures! Work threw me a good-bye dinner on Tuesday which was lovely and I must say that I will miss the people I've worked with there.
It's only 10 days now till we're off to see (a part of) the world! So exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time! Our first stop is Seattle to see friends, so we'll just take it from there. All the visas have been obtained and flights organised and even some accommodation booked! Karl has three more days of work until we're both officially on holidays!
We hope that you will share this adventure with us through the blog and keep in touch with us on our travels!
