Goodbye Virginia.

Spent Thursday on the Blue Ridge Parkway and went up to Wintergreen, a ski resort. Some of the owned properties there are awesome. Must sleep 20. Other places are time share. They don't get a lot of snow there but when they do it's a very popular area. Seemed very wooded and certainly lovely views.

We had a good last day on Friday with a run in the local recreation area before another trip to the Launderette and then out to the Walton's Mountain Museum. We thought it might be a bit naff and it was, but in a small town America sort of way. Run by enthusiasts so we watched a video and then saw some of the sets! Peter guessed correctly that Jason was the cast member born in Blackburn and the guy was mighty impressed. Only the second UK person to get the right answer!!

Returned to Blue Mountain brewery for food and met a Mary Lou and Dick, they lived in Charlottesville, and entertained us well. I drove back - not bad first time driving and in the dark. Dogs barked throughout night as owners away for weekend! However, Peter's 'shut up max and go to sleep' through the window, worked on the golden lab. We did get some sleep eventually x
