Day 1
We had all of 20 mins to get ready this morning to leave for the French Riviera. Luckily we had prepared earlier and had pretty much packed our bags tthe night before. On to the French Riviera, nothing like watching a bit of Summer Heights High on the bus and losing a bit of trivia (good times). We stopped off at a perfumery, which smelt quite nice, but talk about expensive!!! I helped pump up all the lilos this afternoon, that was an experience in its self, I think I've done my bit, it's someone elses turn tomorrow. We played a bit of Boccee with Kel, Dom, Kristy and Jamie. Scott and I were crowned the tourist champions of Antibes. Considering we had never played before I reckon we did quite well. We never did get our trophey!!!!!
Day 2
We went into Nice today. First stop La Colline Du Chateau (otherwise known as a lookout). Yes more stairs, but so worth it, the view was amazing (wish I had taken water) It was stinking hot! We went into old town for lunch, a real french stick, it tasted amazing. We sat in the park for a bit, trying to find as much shade as we could, before we attempted to venture to the rocky shores of the beach. Nude sun bakers everywhere, way too many speedos and too much sun. Not the best beach experience of our lives, but Scott did manage to take a dip, up to his ankles. We spent quite a bit of time hunting down a French flag to only come up with nothing, not one, not a single French Flag, we had to double check we were in France, yes we were, where are all your flags people??? Frustrating!!!!! Nice should really be called Really Nice, one of the most beautiful places I have been to.
