Our drive back to Bodrum though mountains and valleys. Lots of new freeway construction almost all the way.Very attractive farming country in valleys and pine covered mountains.We stop to buy fresh figs from farmers stalls set up along the road.
Back in Bodrum we catch up to Brad and Amanda Nelsen.
Tues 17th. We play golf at Bodrum Golf Club,we are the only one there so we are warmly greeted and we are impressed. Even though the course is fairly flat and not long there is lots of water and some fairly difficult holes. Brad claims an American style handicap of 23 ha ha. Last time I played him he was off 16 and today played better than that. He won hands down. JB and MB agreed on a draw in the European Cup afterJB and Brad hit three balls in the lake in front of the 18th par 3.
Back in Bodrum the rest of the crew have arrived Ian and Janine, Jack and Therese with their girls Isabella and Dominique.We all have dinner together at "Mariner".
Wed 18th. We bus back to Mamaris to join BP. Paul is taking on 20000 litres of duty free fuel.
We are reluctantly leaving Turkey for our trip to Athens though the Greek Islands.
What an adventure we have had in Turkey. The people have been wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. It seems for us everything is inexpensive,MB and Jack had a shave,face wax,haircut and head massage all for 80 Tls (A$40).
