Just arrived in Douglas on the Isle of Man, after a long wait at Glasgow airport. Apparently, Douglas was fogged in. Well, we got here and it was clear as a bell and looked like a magical fairyland!

Driving up into the highlands of Scotland, it just kept getting more and more beautiful.

We left Castle Douglas in Scotland after spending two lovely nights there at the Urr Valley Hotel. We went off the beaten track to see what Laurieston Scotland had in common with the Lauriston we live in, back in Australia. Well, it turns out plenty!! Kirkcudbright (pronounced kirk-coo-bree) where my great great grandmother was born. Her name was Margaret Campbell & she married Tobias Mankey from Cornwall. Kirkcudbright is now an 'Artist's town'.
