This was to be the start of a big day. We left Paris and took the train to Vernon. Then we bussed it up to Giverny, to see the great Monet's house and garden. The whole town of Giverny was to picturesque and absolutely delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing where the great man lived and was so inspired. Then we could have gone back to our hotel...... but ..... under the spell of Paris we decided to sit in the park at the Trocodero with a bottle of wine & some take-away food & watch the Eiffel Tower lit- up at night. Temptation set in & we said, what the hell, life' s for living ...
.lets see the view from the top!!!! So, we waited in the queue for 2 1/2 hours . At the stroke of midnight we stepped out of the elevator at the the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Now that's s what the we call magic! The lights of Paris were amazing, spread out for miles below us. How can we top that?
