We arrived in Whakatane today after a 6hour bus journey here and was greeted by my dad bearing a fishing rod, as he decided to get a quick fish in before we arrived, no such luck though!
we are staying with my dad for the next week and see some sights of the surrounding areas, also taking advantage of the free hospitality they are kindly offering!
They have a lovely big house in Ohope, right on the beach, which is gorgeous and theres hardly anyone on it!!!
Dad is also guna take us fishing this week, which will be our first experince and sharon is taking us on a trek through the bird walk nearby which is through, what looks like, jurassic park!

alicia Guyssss......It sounds like you are having an amazing time..the pics are gorgeous im Tres tres jealous lol! You missed quite possibly THE worst works xmas dinner ever!! This is not only because you two were not there :( But also because a select few thought it would be hilarious to through sprouts across the room at eachother and be really lary...needless to say the royal staff were not best impressed. I was a boring old sod and didnt drink lol was in bed by half 10!! Its absolutly freezing here and has been raining non stop (you'll be pleased to know lol) Got our xmas decorations up now...16 daysss arrghhhhh!! Hope you have a great time fishing lol Catch us a big'un kirst lol!! Love u both loads :D xx
