We had found a last minute deal on the Internet for Vegas whilst in Philly. ..so flew across and stayed for 5 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel which was nice but about a half mile walk from the Strip. We knew that if we gambled (or at least made it look like we were) then we could drink for free. We were devastated when we first went to the bar in the Hard Rock to play the poker machines and we got charged 7 dollars for a beer….that's the first and last drink we paid for though!!
There was a shooting range about 3 miles way from the Hotel so we walked down and each fired an AK-47, a Desert Eagle and a Police Sniper. The amount of guns in the store was unbelievable…ranging from a pistol to a rocket launcher. The kickback whilst firing the Desert Eagle was really powerful making it quite difficult to control. We both felt slightly inferior as there was an 80 year old man to the right of us firing a machine gun. All in all we both had a pretty decent shot and walked back to the Hostel with a big smile on our face.
We saw all the Hotels and most of the shows and won some money on Roulette in the MGM Grand
