After. 8 hours in the air, we landed and had a brief layover in Paris. We hung out in the Air France lounge. Another benefit of flying business class. The lounge has all types of food and drinks, free magazines (but they were all in French), spa, showers and great spaces to just hang out.
Once we got on the aircraft I noticed the difference in the chairs. These are more comfortable...there is a space underneath the chair in front of me where I can put my feet - they stay nice and warm in there.
The lunch meal was really different - five courses with things like goat cheese and artichoke caviar, prawn and tomato terrine with lobster sauce, duck and goose foie gras terrine (I tried but way yuck), salmon and rice, more cheese and sorbet for dessert...all along filling the wine glass between each course with Champagne. I opted for sparkling water but was amazed at how much champagne the little lady sitting next to me drank. Looks like she really enjoyed it!
I watched the movie Oblivion with Tom Cruise - it was ok so I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.
Napped a bit and now just trying to pass some time. I've set my watch for Bangalore time so it's 10:00 pm there and 10:30 am at home - I'm somewhere in between so my clock currently reads 6:31 pm. We land in Bangalore at 12:30 am and won't get to our hotel until about 2:00 am. Looking forward to taking a shower and sleeping in a bed.
It really is a long way to India...
Hope all is well in Minneapolis! I love you all!
