I woke before my alarm...unusual.... I slept well, except the moment it sounded like a giant space ship was landing behind my head....
I particularly appreciated the comfy soft pillows. This alarming sound of a combination of a drill, and concrete slabs being dragged across metal polls was just the lift which is located behind my head. #silly fool
I had a look around my room but there was no hair dryer. To shower or not to shower is the question? Shower and have wet hair of course!
Checking out the shower, looks like I'll be taking an extra long shower today. There was hot water which is great but it was little more than a drip.....hmmm not good for shampoo in hair!
Took the scenic route down to the breakfast room. it was interesting to see how the hotel was so dysfunctional, almost like a child put together a lego home together with a blind fold on.
Breakfast was nice - the waitress was friendly and from what I would tell, Austrian or German?
I was enjoying a fresh orange when the waitress popped over and asked if I was finished. To which I replied, not yet thanks. She took my Orange and asked me what I would like next.
Oh ok, no more Orange for me then...
10:00 check out time. Next stop is Weymouth train station to catch the Bus to Wool. There are some rail works so its buses instead. The Bus trip was pleasant.
I Listened to my ipod on shuffle - always an interesting listen as it is filled with thousands of songs - most of which are pretty old. Nice to reminisce about times gone by. There was a spice Girls song - which reminded me of my childhood home at islet with the Blue carpet (in the front room) I spent hours listening to The Spice Girls (no laughs - I was 9) and I recall having phone calls with Leighanne (sorry Leighanne) listening to them and singing - haha, who does that?
When we set off Weymouth was beautifully sunny and warm... as we progressed across the country it became darker and gloomier until we got off the train at Woking to rain. This is the smooth before the rough. Tonight they forecast strong winds and rain.
last trip before Heathrow was the national express bus. whoah, what a treat, plush leather seats, curtains and arm rests - National express you spoil us!
15:15 Luggage has been checked in to a left luggage place and I am now tucking into Sausage and Mash at The Globe Heathrow. As it happens I actually sat at the same table and ate Sausage and Mash before departing to ACCRA last summer - I'm so predictable.
A couple Hours tills check in 20:00 I will check in once I arrive in Bangkok or Cambodia
