Spent the last 4/5 days up in the blue mountains west of Sydney. Not exactly up to the Himalayas but definitely the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I'll upload some of the photos as soon as i come across a computer thats capable of doing it in less that 2 hours!

I've spend my days doing a few bush walks up round the ridges and cliffs, lots of waterfalls and beautiful scenery but sadly not a lot of wildlife to be seen. Even though its been raining a bit lately and a bit misty its made it a little more bearable as i don't think i could make it very far in blistering hot temperatures so soon after leaving the UK. Plus the added effect of the swollen creeks and waterfalls made it all the more worthwhile. Went canyoning yesterday up by Mount Wilson, walked into a valley where i donned a wetsuit and went abseiling into the smallish canyon, swimming and walking along the length of it with a few more abseils and water jumps. thoroughly enjoyed it. Just booked myself a flight up to the whitsunday islands where I'm going to be staying in a place called Airlie Beach for Xmas and New Years. Might do a bit of diving and do my PADI whilst I'm there and also settle down and get a job for a couple of weeks as the weather seems good and accommodation nice n cheap! I'll try and get some more photos of this week up soon as they really are stunning.
