James, Rhys & Martyn's Travels
Today we got up really early and went on the Statten Island ferry (im not sure if thats the correct spelling but...) which was free and took us past the statue of liberty which isn't as big as we thought and a lot less impressive than it looks in the movies.
then we went on a bus ride to brooklyn which was boring, because brooklyn isn't really very interesting and hasn't got much to say for itself. It was worth it though because we got off the bus in brooklyn and walked back to manhatten over the brooklyn bridge which was the highlight of the day, the view of manhatten was amazing.
Then we trekked through Chinatown (very colourful and hectic), Little Italy, where we ate pizza in a pizza restaurant, and all through new york to Grand Central Station which is Grand. Haha.
Seriously though, its cool and very stylish. Plus they sell the nicest cheese cake in the world there which we all tried and really liked.
Then we walked around for a bit more walking to Rockerfellers which I'm not quite sure I understand, cos its a big attraction but I still don't know what it is and then took the subway back to aour hostel....
Only joking. What really happened was the train skipped our stop and we ended up in Harlem. At night. Which wasn't quite the situation we wanted to find ourselves in, so we walked in stark silence for a few blocks feeling about as out of place as we looked until James managed to pull a taxi which we jumped in and hailed a ride back to the Hostel. Which is where we are now.
Thankfully.
Tomorrow morning we're leaving for Philladephia for a day and night before moving on to Washington the following night.
