We came to Peru on holiday. On the first day we went riding on horses up into the mountains and saw people living in houses made of mud bricks. We also saw soem old ruins where people called Incas used to live. My sisters horse was very naughty and we called him Buckaroo. My horse was also very pushy and we called him Buckingham Palace!

On Friday we went and did some shopping and I bought a leather coat. Then my brother and his friend Rory arrived and we saw some more ruins together called Saqusaywuman.

The next day we had to get up very early to go white water rafting. We had a long ride in bus to get to the river. We all had to put on wetsuits and life jackets and helmets. At first we had to practice paddling. Then we did some real rapids which was great fun.

On Sunday we went on a long bus ride and saw more ruins, it was fun doing it with my brother and Rory. We saw some guinea pigs in one fo the places where we stopped. They eat guinea pigs in Peru (but I didn't eat one).

Monday we took a long train ride to Machu Picchu. These are old ruins from the Incas and are at the top of a very high mountain. They were very beautiful.
