We are now in Georgetown on Penang Island, North West of Malaysia, to get our 60 visa to Thailand! Yesterday, we hired a mopped (only 20 ringits a day which is about 3 pounds!) to get to the Embassy and to have a little adventure around the Island which is not too big but after 7 hours on the very uncomfortable seat....I ended up walking like a cowboy!! James LOVED IT 2 of his quotes being: "did you hear the bike scraping on the floor on that corner" and "Wouldn't it be cool if we got chased by bandits?"!!! NOT AT ALL AMUSED!!!
Tried to go to a butterfly farm but we got there too late unfortunatly. however, we will hire the bike again on monday to get our visas and passports back fingers crossed ;-)
We visited one of the biggest temple in South East Asia. Very beautiful (see photos)
Also, instead of mice and coackroaches in our KL hostel, we have now upgraded to rats.....NICE! But there are 2 black Labradors puppies at our hostel. Sadly they are in a cage so we are getting them out as often as we can. So sad....I want to take them along with us, ...James doesn't think it is such a good idea sadly....Especially that we are going to China! Mind you...the owner of the hostel is Chinese I think....mmmmmmmmm :-(
A la prochaine xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
