Bali was a nice change in cost coming form oz and a bit of a culture shock especially for Jahmez having not been outside Europe before. But amazing white sand, palm tree lined beaches and great surfing are international things really. And no one could complain because everthing here is soo cheap. So what we mostly did here for the 10 days was lie on the beach till golden brown and surf to cool down. Its great to relax a bit after oz but the hawkers on the beach ...

To celebrate our last few days in Cains we Went drinking with Sam and Laura (who we met up with at this point) and team Canada (who we havnt really mentioned but have kind of been travleing with for the last few weeks). Anyway it bassically killed us and we were both very ill by the end of it.

After a couple of days boring training which was totally like school and sucked, we were ready to get on the boat to the GBR. On the five dives we saw turtles, sharks, mari rais, and a lot of other things which you wouldnt know what it was if i said it. Basically it was amazing and after the 4th dive we were certified divers so took the 5th one alone, just us two.

3 days and 2 nights sailing around these islands which make up the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Concerns about sea sickness led us to choose a boat that we didnt have to sleep on, but it was also a boat where everyone played drinking games and got very drunk which was not so fun on the boat the next morning. Barely escaping with the contents of our stomach we made it to some amazing snorkling, on the best corals i have ever seen. Then did it all again ...

The 4x4 Fraser island trip is a bit of a crazy one. They just throw 11 backpackers in a Jeep with food and tents then send you to the island for 3 days. The island has more beautiful lakes with crystal clear water and white sand than England has hot days. We were fortunate with a great group of people and had a real adventure on the offroad tracks and beach highways. The nights were filled with campfire songs and travellers tales, and after 3 days it was a shame ...
