Hello everyone, a very happy christmas and new year to you all!
2009 has been the most unbelievable years for both of us, in every sense of the word. We've been lucky in so many ways, and for those things we are grateful, and for the tragic losses we have both experienced, we will live with beautiful memories, and take them with us always.
It has been a while since we have shared what we have been up to with all of you, and so we thought it was time for an update....
Life in Sydney has been treating us very well, as we're sure you will see from our many pictures! We have been working hard but playing hard with all of our lovely work friends! There's always someone who wants to do something, whether it's a full on night out or just a quiet drink after work. (don't worry mum's and dad's and Abbi, we're not drinking too much!!)
We treated ourselves to a snazzy new camera, which we have taken out around Sydney on our days off a few times and got a bit 'snap happy'! (I think we're getting old!) :)
On christmas eve we were treated to a boat cruise around Sydney Harbour by our very generous Hurricane's bosses! It started at 12pm, and after the cruise at 4pm all 150 of us were invited back to a bar in Bondi Beach, where we partied until the early hours of christmas morning. As you can imagine, christmas day was a bit of a write off for us, but we did manage to cook ourselves up a nice feast of roast lamb! We opened all of our pressies, the main ones being swimming with dolphins from James to Em, and tickets to see Jamie Oliver live and the warm up of the Australian Tennis open from Em to James! Then it was back to work on boxing day!
Our next thing on Em's 'to do list' is to find ourselves a place in Bondi to live, as we're both moving to the beach side restaurant which we both really cannot wait for! Especially as the weather is picking up now, it's been 32degrees most days!
Katy and Ed (friends from uni) are coming out in January, and it's then that we plan to visit the Opera House, the Blue Mountains, the wineries, and all of the other touristy bits we haven't gotten around to yet! So we will have a bit more news for you after that!
We wish everyone a very happy new year, and hope 2010 brings you all lots of happiness xxxxx
