Just when I thought I couldn't go any further...great friends come to save the day! The first campsite I had reserved was a complete disappointment, so we moved on down the road without checking in. After brontoburgers at the Flintstone Drive-in, we found a nice campsite to call home for the next couple nights. The pickins were slim because of the Sturgis Rally week. So many beautiful bikes! I understand why they make their pilgrimage there...the Black Hills are beautiful! I was surprised how many state forests, national parks, monuments, etc. were there. Mount Rushmore and Crazy horse are must sees but it always seems that the biggest attraction for the kids is the pool. In this case it had a huge water slide attached! Too fun! The kids had a great time on the camp bicycles, flying kites and having marshmallow gun fights! The adults enjoyed a few cocktails and late night campfires with giant marshmallows for s'mores. It turned out to be our last night of camping, since we opted for a hotel the last night. Thanks for joining the adventure Lindemanns! You know you're good friends if you can camp together!
