Day 3 - from Denver, Colorado
We have logged 1020 miles so far after our two longest driving days on this leg of the trip. We all had "car butt" and were feeling a bit restless by the time we arrived here last night. For me a nice hotel, dinner prepared by someone else, kids burning off steam in the pool with the other traveling kids while I sipped a cold beverage heals all. That's right folks so far I'm not a camping convert! Don't get me wrong our first night of camping was fun...but it's a lot of work, at least for the adults. Looking forward to camping at Arches National Park for the next two nights so we don't have to set-up and pack-up so quickly. It is suppose to be around 102 degrees...so wish me luck on that! I gently suggested to Kavi that we stay another night at the lovely hotel, but that request was denied :( so off we go to see the Arches and stars...which I'm sure will not disappoint!
Some after thoughts...
Iowa is the prettiest state so far - really beautiful green corn fields and rolling hills
"Welcome to..." state signs are not as prevalent as you would think. I really wanted to take a picture as we entered each state. Do Google images count, or do you have to take your own?
LOVE the new minivan...I know, I know but it really is comfy and convenient for this trip!
Yes, my husband is out running 10 miles this morning

Tammy Reed Vigil Rachel, I bet you would enjoy a travel trailer. Its easier when your doing a road trip like you guys are doing. Tents are for staying put! Have fun and enjoy the road trip!
