December 19th - just under three weeks before I leave for my journey around the world. With the boxes crammed in the corners of my apartment, I begin to pack - it's now sinking in that I'm leaving. There's so much I'm going to miss.
Foods: Chipotle, Barros Pizza, and Pork on a Fork. If I could only open up a Chipotle out in Asia -- imagine the money I could make.
Family: my weekly home-cooked meal with mom & dad, going to the desert shooting with dad, going to my nieces' softball games...
Friends outside work: Y'all are all on my facebook, I'll be talking to you plenty while I'm gone, probably when lonely in that deserted town in nowheresville, Asia with nary an english-speaking person to talk to.
Work: yes, work...not the job, but the people. From my good friend, Jimmy, who keeps me in stitches every day, to Janet, Veronica, my wildcat-loving Dana, the sweet laugh of Roscina, that gorgeous but attached brunette who I lust over every day (not saying who - you've got a year to figure it out!) And Michelle and Dora -- the only ones who can tolerate my karaoke - y'all are awesome! Believe it or not - my supervisor and manager, Chad and John...There's nothing quite like having a job where you truly enjoy working with your boss, and to know that your manager has your back is truly a gift. I sincerely hope they live up to their word and hire me back when I'm back home in a year from now.
IS IT TIME TO GO YET?
