Hi Jairn, Your seeing the marble mines reminded me of our family seeing the Kennicut copper mine in Utah about the time Brian was your age. It's an awesome production. I'm impressed that you had the energy to play soccer after all your hiking, not to forget taking in such masterpieces of art, building and sculpture along the way. I expect we'll see some great walking muscles on them legs when you return. They'll make for better hops to the hoops. We had a suprise visit from Ziggie on Good Friday. She had no collar so we wondered if she was a stray, then later Johnny came by, introduced himself, and solved the mystery. Well, I'm off to dig up our septic tank, so Chaio. PS Say hi to your Mom, Dad and Cleo.

Jairn-I enjoyed your journal entry and can't wait to read more! The last time I was in Rome I sat and watched a traffic circle for about an hour. The Italians are still the craziest drivers I have ever seen. I remember that red lights meant nothing and that the car horns were constantly blaring. The gellato was pretty tasty, also! Are there still thousands of stray cats around the Coliseum? Enjoy! Sean Andersen

HAHAHAHA! Love you, Grama N.
Jairn do not stop trying to upload those pictures. First download them from your camera to your computer then find cable, fiberoptics or DSL internet access to upload them on this site. If your image sizes are big use a picture editing program to make them small and low resolution before loading them.
