Today we had two cyclists arrive that are from Salida, CO. They are doing a bike tour of Chile and were super nice. One of them actually used to own a hostel in Salida but had recently sold it to her business partner. They both work at a small restaurant/brewery. I awoke early to help set up breakfast and then decided to lay back down for an hour while I waited to then help clear it all up.... Somehow I set my alarm wrong on my iPad and I ended up waking up restfully just before Noon. Oops! It was ok though, since it was only two guests there wasn't much to clean up. Today I decided to take it easy to rest my poor legs, back, and arms (without even using my arms I am not sure how they are so sore !?!). I spent a long time today working on a few signs for the hostel -- one for the homemade bread we bake, another for where guests need to put their dirty dishes, and another explaining in a picture how you turn on the computer. Today I had the opportunity to climb my first mountain in Chile. :-) I started the day helping with breakfast and cleaning the hostel. Sandra showed me out to make homemade pancakes which we ate for lunch. We topped them with jams, peanut butter, chocolate, applesauce, butter, etc. I learned the recipe so next time I can pitch in and make them.
