HECTIC... I tell you! My jetlag is just kicking in and it has been an adventurous day! It all started on the 26th when I was due to fly to Bangkok from Sydney, but my flight was cancelled due to the airport being closed. I had many troubles with Qantas and British Airways trying to organise a flight for me. They told me that I could get a flight on Friday the 28th to Bangkok but on Wednesday night I couldn't wait any longer. I was on the phone to QANTAS for an hour and they finally put me on a flight. So today i left for Singapore (via Adelaide). When I arrived in Adelaide I had to go through customs and I totally forgot about the liquid policy so they took my moisturiser off me but I really needed it. So i bought a container to put it in. I shouldn't have done that because they then took my toothpaste!
I hopped on the plane to Singapore and I was in seat 60 B... the LAST row. But it was a very good flight with absolutely gorgeous views of Adelade, Uluru, West Coast of WA, Bali and the islands leading up to Singapore. It really did bring me to tears of joy. I sat next to a man from the UK and he was quite good to talk to. He helped get to the customs section in Singapore. I then spent my time running up and down stairs in Singapore trying to find flights to Phuket. I ran into a couple from Wales who had been here since 11am and I only started at 7pm and got a flight @ 10pm where I leave tomorrow 4 Phuket. If it wasn't for the Sturm family I don't know what I would have done. they reside in Bangkok and have been helping me get there! They have a family member who will pick me up from Phuket and take me to Bangkok (A 10 hour drive). My ticket was quite expensive ($545) but It will get me to where I need to be. I then spent 2 hours in Singapore searching for a hotel. I caught the MRT where I met an Aussie guy, two local girls (thanks Jamie!) and a yank. All tried to help with my travels... but the yank just talked himself up about how much money he has.
See you in Phuket! xoxox
