Hi all, we have arrived back on land after out sailing trip although im still rocking and feel like im still on the bloody boat!We spent 3 days sailing around the Whitsunday Islands and it managed to rain the whole time putting a bit of a downer on the whole thing. We met some really nice people while we were on the boat one Sarah particulary took a fancy to - Felix from Germany, some girls from Scotland and Ireland and would you believe while on the other side of the world 4 boys from Bromley lol, they were a good laugh although still typically english drinking loads and not washing as men do lol! The islands themselves look pretty much like all other islands but Whitehaven beach was amazing and would of been even better if the sun had been out, the sand is pure white and the sea bright blue. As it is stinger season if we wanted to go in the water we ad to wear very attractive stinger suits one size fits all u can imagine what i looked liked there are photos 2 come. We also stopped off and did some snorkelling which was pretty good loads of fish and coral reefs, Sarah saw some baby sharks but i missed them. The sailing itslef was interesting there was 21 passengers and 2 crew the captain was a tosser!! The boat cant of been built for more than 10 people and once the 6 tiny beds downstairs were full the rest of us had to sleep on deck which would have been lovely if it wasnt for the pouring rain and wind blowing our covers of all night lol! the deck turned into basically one big bed and had a big tent around the sides to stop us getting soaking, as it leaked so we still got dripped on all night. It wasnt all bad though it was an amazing experience just could have been made better by the weather. Tonight is the after party free pizza ( a definative bonus for me) and cheap drinks to celebrate so we will be venturing to that to try and cure the sea legs. After that its one more night in Airlie Beach then off to Kroombit cattle station on friday. Speak soon love 2 u all xxx
