Happy Christmas to everyone reading this hope you all had a lovely day! Since I last wrote a lot has happened we finally left Surfers Paradise to go back to the realms of the backpacking world and as hard as it was at first we are back into the swing of it now, sleeping in bunk beds and eating noodles all over again. From Surfers we headed to Spot X Surf camp for a over night stop and a 3 hour surf lesson. The place itself was really cool on a seculded little beach which the sun managed to find for the entire time that we were there. The surf lesson was epic, literally one of the best sports ever i loved every minute of it and managed to be standing up almost straight away and catching waves the whole way back into the beach. Unfortuntely Sarah couldnt do it due to her gammy knee so we going to rent some boards and have another go when we are in Manly. Another one of our friends was doind it and by the end of the lesson we were managing to surf side by side the same wave hi - 5ing the instructors as we went past, defo something i want to do again! Leaving surf camp wasnt so good it involved a 6am wakeup for a half hour journey down to a place called Coffs Harbour where we were to stay for 2 nigths. Coffs Harbour was a nice relaxed little place the first day we just enjoyed soaking up the sun and went to the local pub that night for some dinner with some girls from our room, the next day was althogether more eventful. We decided we would hire some push bikes out and take a ride around the town see the Botanical Gardens etc, it started well at least. We got to the gardens walked around then decided that we would head into town to do a bit of shopping we had cars stopping for as as we drove over roundabouts not having a clue where we were going and then we cycled around a multistory carpark trying to find somewhere to park, we eventually found somewhere and went and loaded our bikes up with clothes and food shopping the journey home was where it all went wrong! We was slowly riding back when we had to ride down a hill i started going down broke a little bit, the brakes stuck i skidded on some leaves and fell off across the wholw width of the path and then Sarah couldnt stop and ran me over, rode into a tree and fell off into a creek, it sounds worse than it was we escaped with minor cuts but i thnk its put me off bike riding for ever. The following morning we made our way to Sydney on a 10 hour bus journey finally arrving in Kings Cross early that evening. We had a quick change of clothes and we was off out to a place called The Gaff with some friends we have met along the way. Walking home that night through Kings Cross was an experience its the place to be to go out but it also comes with a lot of hookers, trannys and smack heads, who are quite funny to watch from across the road! Christmas Day came very quickly not that it felt like christmas at all, so we got up had breakfast and christmas lunch (turkey and ham and cold everything lese including pasta - wierd!!) and then headed down to Bondi Beach in bikinis and christmas hats and tintsel in out hair. We spent that day chilling on the beach and headed home when it got dark to make the christmas calls back at home. Boxing Day was a vey chilled day which me and Sarah spent being proper tourists we walked around Circular Quay, the Rocks, saw the Opera House and climbed the observation pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which gave amazing views of pretty much the whole of Sydney. We have a busy few days lined up, we are going to the Blue Mountains, Manly, Oz Party Bus and Fireworks on NYE which we have to be on our spot at 10am, by nye we only have a few days left before we head off to Melbourne. Happy New Year to everyone who read this hope u have a good one love u all xxxx
