All excited today were off whale watching - only $84 for us both including transfers - not bad at all!
We are feeling pretty delicate but down a couple of sea sickness tablets and set sail round 9am.
Matt spots the whales about 30 minutes into the trip and it seems the Captain spots them at the same time making a b-line for them. We are so lucky, we have a pod of adult and baby Humpbacks but we legally aren't allowed to go beyond 100 yards to see them - they can however come to us which Jacq is praying for!! Interestingly the baby calfs have neon like blue underbellys which shines through the sea when they spin round - never knew that! We get a few tail slaps, blow holes and managed to see them surface and dive but don't get a breach, spy hop or a look at their faces - despite it it's the best trip we've been on and we watch them for a good hour before making tracks back to port.
We decide on a fat lazy day to cure the hangs and buy junk food, close the curtains and have a movie marathon day of Twilight (much to Matts delight), we haven't done this in ages - it's bliss!
