Hi Guy's' Since my last blog I have visited the South Point and Bright Angel Point of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, it's the most amazing sight I have ever seen. Despite the fact that I hate heights I decided to have some photo's taken right on the edge because it just has to be done. Anyway I’m now in San Francisco and despite the fact that it is only 64 degrees here I absolutely love it. It’s shopper’s paradise with an abundance of restaurants and bars. There are street performers and market stalls every where. On 4th July (Independence Day) there where bands playing on the Pier's and a huge fireworks display from Pier 39, it was packed with Americans celebrating. I think us English should do the same maybe for St Georges Day, good excuse to go to the pub. Ha ha
Anyway today I took a boat tour to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz to see where
Al Capone took his vacations. I ate traditional Clam Chowder which is served inside a loaf of bread bowl and got to see the Sea Lions basking in the sun of the end of Pier 39. I then took a trolley up the steep San Francisco hill streets to the famous ice cream and chocolate maker (Ghirardelli) which is in Stockton Street which made me chuckle, and had a huge ice cream.
I shall be in San Fran for another 3 days and then im off to San Diego for a week and then Hollywood, im also thinking about going back to Vegas before I come home to get some sun.
Not long to go now and I shall be home so im gonna go and make the most of it.
