Well what can I say, I have had an absolute blast “DUDES” it’s has been “TOTALLY AWESOME”!!
I’m not sure where to start as it’s been one hell of a journey of which I will never ever forget. Three months ago on 11th May my journey started from Heathrow Airport and I suddenly thought “Oh dear what have I done” but with excitement at the same time. However my journey on the plane was the quickest nine hours of my life and flying over Greenland and Finland produced beautiful sights of huge amazing Icebergs that go on for miles. I then landed in Chicago and that’s where it all kicked off. From Chicago I travelled to my destinations using the famous Amtrak trains and when destinations where just too far away planes came to the rescue and with all this help I visited all of the following places.
Boston Massachusetts, New York City, Pit stop at Philadelphia, Atlantic City New Jersey, Baltimore Maryland, Washington DC (District of Columbia), Fort Lauderdale Florida. Miami Florida, Orlando Florida, Daytona Beach Florida, Pit stop in Memphis, Dallas Texas, St Louis Missouri, Jefferson City Missouri, Kansas City Missouri, Denver Colorado, Las Vegas Nevada, Arizona Grand Canyon, San Francisco CA. San Diego CA, Hollywood LA. Back to Vegas again and last but not least Beverly Hills and Hollywood LA for home.
I have seen some fantastic, strange, weird and awe inspiring sights and some of which no words can describe as they where simply breath taking. I have been caught in impressive horizontal rain and flash flooding in New York and Miami and blistering heat in Texas and Vegas but mostly the weather has been fantastic, I have always believed that I was meant to live in the sun and I have now discovered that I was right all along, this is based purely on the fact that I don’t really like wearing clothes and that’s not in a nudist way, I just feel a lot better in shorts and a bikini. I have also discovered that chocolate covered pretzels are my new weakness, I actually do like peanut butter, I love clam chowder, coffee makes me as hypo as a sherbet dip does and American cheese still tastes like plastic and huge flower pots really hurt.
Anyway I have enjoyed blogging as it has been a great way to let you all share in the fun and excitement of my experience of a lifetime, I have also had fun playing the games and challenges that some of you have set to me.
Finally I am truly looking forward to coming home to see my family and friends but I can honestly say that there will be the feeling of a huge gap if I do not travel again in the future as it’s addictive. The United States of America does have some downsides and some not so pleasing areas, as like home. However on a whole it is huge, beautiful, bold, brash and exciting place and I love it and I will always be very fond of this country and its people as they made me feel so very welcome!!
Last but not least thanks so much for reading and replying to my blogs, it has really meant a lot to me, you have all kept me company on my travels and in a way made me feel like you where all with me.
Love Jacks x
