So it has been a while, although the last 3 weeks have been a blur, I feel it is time for the next update. I have just left Vang Vieng - the capital of tubing!! In short - you hire a rubber ring and float down a 3km river getting hooked into bars on the way and getting slightly drunk. There's not a lot to say about it apart from it has been the best part of our travels so far. We ended up getting a job in one of the main bars so food and drink were free; meaning money was saved big time!! We worked behind the bar and on the river getting people into the "Bucket Bar" (the place we worked). There was about ten of us altogether and two guys who we met in the job live in Chessington and Tolworth, a small world indeed. They were the best bunch of people and tears were shed when we left as it felt like one big family in Bucket Bar. Will has left with a mohawk but luckily Fred and I avoided a bet like that so the hair is still intact. We have now gone down to 4000 islands which is at the bottom of Laos and is the place just to chill out. I think we need that after the 3 weeks we have just had!! Photos are soon to follow so keep and eye out. Glad people have got the postcards. Something which has put a downer on the trip is the news that England did not claim the grand slam! I was so confident...ah well the world cup is where it matters. Anyway I will blog soon and hope all is well back home as it seems to be kicking off everywhere else on the planet!!
