Today I woke up at about 9am as there were only 3 other people staying in the dorm and they had all left by 7am. I got up and had a lovely cold shower before sorting out my backpack. I headed downstairs on the wifi for an hour or so before meeting up with Satish. We hoped into a tuk tuk which took us to the next train station as the fast train runs through there. We got the train back down to churchgate as I needed to pick up my train tickets which I booked yesterday. I told Satish I was planning on going to Varanasi and Agra and he told me that as a tourist I would need to buy these traditional Indian clothes if not I would be disrespectful. Only now do I realise I was stupid and fell for a scam! This is unlike me may I add. We went in and I paid 90 pound for these 2 outfits! I was walking out of the shop thinking why have I just done this for. I still stayed with Satish though as he could speak Indian and I couldn't so it was easier and cheaper to get about! He pointed out a nice restaurant and I had my first proper curry since I've been out here. It was lovely. I had chicken korma with garlic naan and also a kingfisher the local beer. Which tastes great I must say. We then headed to the Gandhi museum before heading to chow patty beach. From there we went to the hanging gardens where you get a lovely view of the Arabian Sea coastline. He then took me to the washing laundry where 6000 people everyday are washing clothes. After this we jumped on a train back down to churchgate and walked to the sea wall. We sat there for about 30 minutes chatting until he started this story off about how it was his birthday. I didn't believe him as he would have said something earlier and how I should buy him a present or give him money. As soon as he said that I was off. I said "I'm sorry but I'm going to the hard rock for tea now.. It was lovely meeting you and here's 1000 rupees for showing me around today". He was basically begging for more but I just shook his hand and walked away. From there I did actually go to the Hard Rock Cafe, and as always it was amazing. Food, drink and music in theses places are to die for. I arrived at the start of happy hour aswell which I was please with. I had a steak and a bit to many drinks before catching the train back to the hostel at around 10. I sat on the wifi again for a couple of hours before heading to bed, as I had to check out at 10am for my flight to Kolkata tomorrow.
