Cape Town was 450km away an we needed to be there before 1400, so we left before 0800.
The drive was stunning with scenic views and large natural crevices that the road meandered through.
We arrived at Cape Town international airport at 1355, 5 minutes to spare. Simon and Christo picked us up and took us to meet Mary Lou's mother, whom we would he staying with whilst in the Cape. Thea was a lovely lady whom welcomed us warmly and I felt at home right away. I really have been truly lucky. Also there to greet us was Maureen, Christo and Darnie and Ounka. (Maureen's mum and dad)
My room was lovely and had an en suite, the bed was amazingly comfortable and I could unpacked for a second time this Month!!
Time for Mary lou and Simon to leave a second time, although now we were left with Thea. I think it was a comfort to ML that we were staying to look after her, especially since she had a bad infection in her leg and she would be on her own. When they left, Thea put on a brave face and kept busy with making us feel at home and all of us worked together to make some supper.
