Last night I slept a lot better under a fan, having a cold shower before hand and actually drinking water regularly.
We packed, showered and got a lift to the town with owners daughter.
We had 2 hours to wait before the next bus came through town. While we waited we spoke to a chap that we had met yesterday that sold tom some crafts yesterday. So after toms spending spree yesterday he had brought his cousin to share his wares also... Tom was getting more hassle but they didn't bother with me because I was ignoring them both which is my new adopted strategy..
I decided to trade a pink bandanna which I didn't end up wearing at party in Lilongwe and three empty coke bottles for a pen crafted from ebony, and a bracelet!! Amaze! Tom however had to trade one pair of socks, pair of boxers, nail clippers, half a pack of paracetamol, chewing gum and one of those blindfolds they give you on flights to help you sleep!!! For a similar trade!
We pushed our way onto the bus which was again rammed full, for an acceptable price. 5 long hours!!! It's amazing what you think about in 5 hours of staring from a window! Business ideas for home, plans for traveling, plans for life, all sorts.
I met a chap on the bus that kept me entertained for a few hours on his life, how he liked making babies too much and how he had to change his career to be able to support his family of 5 children. He had set up a fishing business with his brother and now owns 3 dishing shops selling equipment needed for lake fishing. When we finally reached Nkhata bay he insisted I visit this shop which was only a few minutes away, so I did. Big fishing nets, hooks lines, floats, lanterns everything!! Amazing chap.
We
Headed up to big blue star backpackers lodge, here there is internet, very slow, but free, Swimming right by the lake, a canoe(not possible to stay in)!! Decking, tv, hammocks and the like. Met an a london wasps academy player called will and his Swedish friend. Nice guys.
Me and vale headed into town and grabbed some food, then had peanut butter for tea AGAIN!!!!! Need a new filling.
