Well we’ve arrived in Tokyo, Japan.
Im sat here, jack’s asleep and im looking out over an amazing nightime view from our 22nd storey room at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel. This is the first time we’ve experienced true luxury on this trip…our beds aren’t coffins and the room is amazing, especially the toilet (see photos)…
Our last night in Shanghai was an eventful, but tiring affair. We met some really nice guys, a Canadian, Londoner, Finnish guy and a French guy! Don’t ask us what there names were, jack resulted to calling them by there country names ie…“come on finland lets dance!“ I decided I wanted to stay up and watch the football at 2:30 in the morning, our flight was at 8/9 so I would have a chance to get 45 mins sleep, that never happened, so as you can imagine I’m carrying the weekly shop at Tesco under my eyes!
We landed after an exceptionally boring flight, and it took us 1 hour and 15 or so minutes and 150 quid to get to our hotel in the middle of Shinjuku province Tokyo.
Immediately I think its clear we both love it here, we are not getting glared at, were glaring at people because everyone is sooo fashion mad and stylish, nobody looks tramp-ish (ahah I couldn’t think of a better word) and we look glum in comparision!
In contrast to China we havent heard a single horn, and we cant even here the cars as were going along!
But similarly to China its rammmmmed! Can’t move your eyes its so busy!
I think we will be attempting sushi tomorrow evening, I’ll have to let you know how that goes seeing as I refused to eat a burger today because it had mayonaise and mustard on…it was like the guy didn’t understand my heavy bristolian English..pshhhh!
